About Ramblewood Country Club

Ramblewood Country Club by Ron Jaworski Weddings is an elegant, highly rated golf-course venue in Mount Laurel, in the heart of Burlington County and an easy drive from Cherry Hill, Moorestown, and the Philadelphia side of the bridges. Weddings here get exclusive use of the Grand Ballroom, two distinct outdoor ceremony sites, and a day-of concierge and coordinator whose job is to keep the couple out of the logistics.

For a DJ, Ramblewood is a well-run room. The ballroom is built for a big dance floor, the ceremony sites are a short walk from the reception, and the venue's coordinator and concierge work the same timeline we do. Our job is to make the sound match the polish of everything else.

The spaces

Grand BallroomExclusive-use ballroom seating 200 to 210 guests with a full dance floor.
The PergolaOutdoor ceremony site with the fairway as the backdrop.
The OaksTree-lined woodland ceremony site under café string lighting.
Covered PatioCocktail-hour space off the ballroom. Comfortable for most guest counts; it runs snug as you approach 200.

Two ceremony sites with very different acoustics: The Pergola is open to the course and needs a system that carries vows against the open air, while The Oaks is enclosed by trees and rewards a softer, closer setup. Either way, the ceremony system, the cocktail-hour system on the patio, and the ballroom system are three separate rigs, each in place before guests arrive.

What SEK Productions Does at Ramblewood

What SEK Productions brings to Ramblewood Country Club

  • Sound sized for 200-plus on the floor. The Grand Ballroom is built for a big dance floor. We bring a system with the headroom to fill it and tune for toasts and the MC first so the speeches stay clear.
  • Three setups, one day. Ceremony at The Pergola or The Oaks, cocktail hour on the covered patio, reception in the ballroom, each with its own system and its own power plan.
  • Concierge and coordinator collaboration. Ramblewood's day-of team runs a tight day. We build the timeline with them so the entrance, dinner, toasts, cake, and dance sets land on the club's clock.
  • The extras get a cue. The golf cart photos and the Chocolate Indulgence Room are moments in the timeline, not surprises. We sequence them so the dance floor doesn't empty at the wrong time.
  • Close to home. Mount Laurel is a short drive from our Williamstown base. No travel supplement, and we are on site early.

The Grand Ballroom is the weather backup, and we plan for both.

What it actually takes to DJ a wedding well at Ramblewood

Ramblewood's Grand Ballroom is a full-size reception room: 200 to 210 guests with a real dance floor, exclusively yours for the night. A room that size needs a system with headroom, not a two-speaker setup turned up to compensate. The goal is a dance floor that feels full at the back of the room without the front tables getting blasted, and speeches that are intelligible at every table. That means coverage planned for the floor plan, not a booth in a corner.

SEK Productions sound-checks the ballroom before guests arrive, sets the MC and toast microphones for clarity first, and brings the dance system up to match once the floor opens. Because the club gives you exclusive use of the ballroom, load-in is clean and the timeline belongs to you; we use that to get the room dialed in early.

The outdoor sites are the other half. The Pergola is open to the fairway, so vows need a system that carries in open air; The Oaks is closed in by trees, which is kinder to sound and wants a smaller, closer setup. The covered patio is the cocktail-hour room, and with a guest list near 200 it is a full patio, so the cocktail system stays light and out of the traffic. See the SEK Productions packages for what each Ramblewood wedding includes.

Where Ramblewood weddings go wrong — and how SEK prevents it

The most common mistake at Ramblewood is under-powering the ballroom. A DJ who brings a system sized for 120 guests into a 200-plus room ends up pushing it past clean, and the toasts turn harsh while the back of the dance floor still feels quiet. SEK sizes the system for the room and the guest count you actually have, and plans speaker placement around the floor plan the coordinator gives us.

The second is the clock. Ramblewood runs a five-hour reception, with a half hour added when the ceremony is on site. That is a firm window, and the day has a lot in it: entrance, dinner, toasts, cake, the golf cart photos, the Chocolate Indulgence Room, and the dance sets. SEK builds the timeline with the day-of coordinator and concierge so every one of those has a slot and the dance floor gets the last, uninterrupted hour it deserves. If you want to run long, that is a decision you make with the venue in advance, not an accident on the night.

The third is the ceremony site. The Pergola and The Oaks are both outdoor, both a walk from the ballroom, and each needs its own power and placement plan. SEK covers the specific site you choose with a dedicated ceremony system and a wireless microphone for the officiant, with the ballroom as the weather backup. Two planning meetings before your wedding — one about a month out, one the week of — lock all of it. Contact us to talk through your Ramblewood timeline.

Questions to ask any DJ before booking them for Ramblewood

If you are interviewing a wedding DJ for Ramblewood Country Club, three questions tell you quickly whether they know the venue: How many times have you performed at Ramblewood? How do you cover a 200-plus dance floor without the toasts getting harsh? And how will you power and cover a ceremony at The Pergola or The Oaks?

Venue experience. A DJ who works Ramblewood knows the Grand Ballroom's size, the two ceremony sites, the covered patio, and how the club's coordinator and concierge run the day. SEK Productions plans setup around how the venue operates.

Coverage for a big room. The right answer is specific: a system with the headroom for 200-plus guests, speaker placement planned around the floor plan, and separate speech reinforcement for toasts and the MC. A DJ who describes a standard two-speaker setup for this room has not solved it.

Ceremony coverage. The Pergola and The Oaks are outdoor sites. Ask the DJ how they will cover the specific one you chose: the right answer is a dedicated ceremony sound system, a wireless microphone for the officiant, a power plan for that site, and a weather plan for moving into the ballroom. SEK includes full ceremony coverage in its Gold package. See packages for details, or contact us with any questions about your Ramblewood wedding.
